Do you do workshops?

1257 does not offer workshops


Can i rent 1257 degrees for an event?

1257 cannot be rented for events, workshops, celebrations or other.


What kind of memberships do you offer?

We offer one type of membership, which is a fulltime membership that gives access to the studio from 10.00 - 22.00 every day for 1400 dkk a month. Clay is bought at an additional cost. We do not do part time or once-a-week memberships.


Do you sell bisqued ceramics that I can paint on?

1257 does not sell bisqueware to paint on.


How many members are there and do you have room for new ones?

There are about 25-30 members of 1257, and we have a running waitlist. That means that there is always someone in line for the next free spot. You can sign up for the waitlist by filling out this form


1257 has all the basic tools for clay. Must peopIe have their own tools and keep them on their shelf in the studio. If there is something specific that you need, you can bring them in.

Does 1257 have all the tools that is needed for ceramics, or do I need to bring my own?


How much experience do I need to have with ceramics to be a member of 1257?

You need to be able to work indepedently to be a member, and therefore prior experience with ceramics is mandatory.


Can I have my ceramics in the 1257 shop if I am not a member?

The ceramics shop at 1257 is only for the member’s work.


Can ceramics bought in your shop go in the dishwasher and microwave?

All of our ceramics can go in the microwave and dishwasher without an issue. However, beware that they are handmade items, so take good care of them.


Can I exchange an item I bought in the shop?

No, items bought in the shop are non-returnable.


Can I fire ceramics that I have made at home in your kilns?

You can rent a kiln at our studio, email us at 1257claycollective@gmail.com to learn more about prices and kiln sizes.


Can I use my own clay and glazes at your studio?

You can bring your own stoneware glazes with you, but clay must strictly be pruchased from the 1257.


What is the pricerange for buying clay at 1257?

There is a few different stoneware clays to purchase and also porcelain. The price ranges from 50 DKK to 85 DKK per kilo clay, which includes the glaze and firing too.


How many degrees do you fire at?

Stoneware temperature at 1240 - 1260 degrees.
